Visiting a Friend with a View

Behind the large wooden doors, just around the corner from Notre Dame, my friend lives my dream.

"Florence, You must remember, Happiness is none of the things on the outside. It all comes from within my dear...", he says with sincerity.
I am almost sure I'd be very happy living his life!
"Find Happiness within..." he reminds me.
Ahh, this sure feels like happiness to me! What a view...
Amazing Beauty!

Sometimes I am overwhelmed with gratitude for having such amazing friends...

The Perfect Afternoon...avez-vous dit une "Date"!?

...Well whatever it was, it was...it included interesting conversation about dogs, people, life, and of course Paris! So here I go, falling in Love with Paris again!

Love is still in the air...at least everywhere I look..

Paris has some of THE BEST hot chocolate...ever!

You (or the guy you're with) gets to pour as much melted chocolate as you wish to consume...
...and then the hot milk...

Stir, then pause to enjoy the aroma....mmm

The end of a perfect afternoon on a chilly day in Paris....

Catching up with Patrica

Patricia always makes one feel "at home" in Paris. She's like the Parisian eccentric Aunt you've never had. Tonight she shared a few simple recipes to cook after a day of shopping at any of the local farmer's market. She even shared a small secret of one of her popular Paris Soiree dishes...
(I'll never tell!)
Eve is a welcomed guest in Parisian cafes!
A Special Woman...Patricia.
Just me...
interesting night at Cafe Saint  Victor.

a Visit to Apres Midi for "Keys to Mastering a Well-rounded Life"

Just barely made it to Adrian Leed's afternoon Apres Midi gathering. Fresh off the plane from Seattle (arriving last night) it was so nice to the usual crowd again...and listening to Dr. Monique Wells share her priceless, Time and Life Management keys could not have come at a better time in my life! (...is there anything she doesn't know how to do in Paris? I still treasure her published Paris cookbook!)

....in a brief 5 minute conversation with her afterwards she has inspired my goal setting methods to a new level! hint: It starts with baby steps...

Holding a captive audience....

Even though still jet lagged, this was well worth attending.
Now, I must go polish up my WRITTEN Goals!

Two Minutes in Paris...

First Night in Paris...A walk to the grocery store

Bonjour...Here is a short, pretty terrible 2 minute video of my first night back in Paris. I am going to blame everything wrong with this video on JET LAG! I just arrived this morning...but wanted to share this refreshing walk to the grocery store....
also just learning how to use the iPhone video (Thanks Carrie...and my younger sister Robin for giving me the iPhone tutorial...)

Return to Paris...

Welcome back everyone...I am a little bit jetlag while I write this, so excuse any typo's.

It's been a while since taking a  "Spiritual Detour" from life in Paris. The Plan (I thought was to move to Miami), now I am not planning much of anything anymore, Instead, just going with the Natural flow of Life which has brought me back to Paris...until...???

Returning would not have been possible without the random, unexpected support of two wonderful people in my life. One offering her apartment in central Paris (the 5th arrondismont...while she is on vacation with her French boyfriend) and the other booking my flight back to Paris.

As this Paris journey re-begins, I just want to share a few wonderful things experienced flying First Class (International). I would highly recommend the upgrade to Delta Business Elite, whenever you fly! (sorry...I couldn't help making a little plug for such an awesome airline that treats passengers like family members...the ones you actually really love! even when I fly coach...)

The journey begins...

The short line begins here....
On board and seated, relax with champagne while making dinner selection.
Crazy excessive leg room! My feet are happieeeee!
Champagne was offered, but I choose OJ instead. I need the pure Vitamin C. The notebook is for writing out my new Paris Goals. (Inspired by Roger to Start starting my goals and Stop stopping taking action!)
Yes! That's the seat massage control buttons! I am in heaven, or at least on my way....
All the things I miss flying coach...

Warm mixed nuts! mmm...seriously...does it get any better?!
First Course...(I am speechless)...
Second Course...
For dinner I chose the fish (Cod)....light and delious.
Over the top dessert...(after this I slept for the next 7 hours!).

...almost slept right through the pre-arrival meal. I am so greatful for this return to Paris.
Paris Charles Degaulle Airport (CDG)
Departure Gate Shops welcome me through the windows at Arrival...hmm...

The journey continues...
