Paris at the End of August.

Just strolling through the city, here are a few sights I casually captured. This is everyday Life in Paris (in August).

Nothing special...just another day, walking home...

Love the way You Lie.

"At what point do you consider yourself as having a boyfriend?", he asks at the metro stop.
"Good question." I think to myself as (once again) I walk away.

Dessert at Le Souffle

I'm convinced that no matter how challenging life gets (even in Paris), Dessert with a good friend (...and chocolate) ALWAYS makes it better!

Dessert and a Good Friend. Life is Good.
...and Chocolate makes it even better.

Le Souffle, Paris.
These are the little things and places that make living in Paris so wonderful!

Westin Paris, Makes it Better!

Is Paris the only city where visiting friends will have a hotel room larger than an entire apartment? Maybe it's just because Carrie choose once again to stay at the fabulous Westin Hotel, Paris?

It's was easy to become jealous not only of her spacious room, but also of the priceless view she woke up to each morning during her week away from Switzerland visiting Paris.

Carrie, my neighbor from Baltimore, Maryland 2001, now my neighbor in Europe (Paris and Switzerland) working as usual.

What a view!

Fabulous view from her room.

I'm Jealous.

Photo for the blog...A place to get a month's worth of work done in one week!

Nice View from the SECOND Terrace!

Ah, Paris from the Westin...

Beautiful, Peaceful, Relaxing.

It's always great to have friends visiting and sharing the wonderful experience of Paris...which of course the Westin makes even better!

A Walk to the Library.

Paris has a "quiet" kind of beauty. These photos were taken on a walk to the American Library of Paris (yes, a long walk from here, but I could use the exercise)...as always, I have my camera to take pictures along the way....

Who takes photos on the way to the library to return books on a Saturday afternoon? Sometimes I think I really need to "Get a life", but for now...this is my life.

While sitting in the grass along the shore of the Seine, enjoying a summer picnic with a friend, "Excellence" slowly cruises by.

Slow, smooth, not in a hurry, seeming to enjoy the journey...

Taking its time, going with the flow of the river. Excellence, calm and peaceful is not rushed.

The Flavor of Paris.

More tourist in August...a part of the Paris flavor that never changes.

The Latin Quarter.

Tourist Food.

Feeding the Tourist.

More Tourist food...actually this kind of rotisserie can be found in the small local markets also.
Ahh, the aroma of roasted poultry, spices and potatoes slow roasting in the juices.
The flavor of Paris.

Something About the 17th.

There's "something" about the 17th arrondissement that I kinda like. It feels a little "ordinary" but still very French. Here are a few more "after school photos".

Walking to French lessons, Sac le Coeur in the distance.

Train tracks leading to Saint Lazare Station.

Ordinary Street.

Ordinary Corner Cafe.

There's "something" about the 17th....

"Just Live"-A Park in Paris.

There's so much beauty in Paris. Some people "get it" and some just don't. Beauty surrounds everyone, no matter where they are, it's just a matter of what we "choose" to see.

These photos were taken one day walking home from French lessons in the 18th arrondissemont. Taking a different way home, always leads to new discoveries in Paris.

Walking through a random park after French lessons.

Here, it's' easy to ..."Just Live". The rest is icing on the cake of Life!

Random Photo Week- Basilica of Sainte Clotilde

I've decide to clean off the little photo disk in my camera. There are so many random photos that did not make it to the blog the week I took them, but they are still saved on my camera.

This week in no particular order I am sharing them with you.

Basilica of Sainte Clotilde

"In any other city, this would be THE attraction to see!" my friend says with excitement and awe as we stumble upon this beautiful church in a quiet corner of the city. No tourist crowds or souvenir stands. Just an old church in a quiet neighborhood.
This is the Paris that I love!
