Paris at the End of August.

Just strolling through the city, here are a few sights I casually captured. This is everyday Life in Paris (in August).

Westin Paris, Makes it Better!

Is Paris the only city where visiting friends will have a hotel room larger than an entire apartment? Maybe it's just because Carrie choose once again to stay at the fabulous Westin Hotel, Paris?



It's was easy to become jealous not only of her spacious room, but also of the priceless view she woke up to each morning during her week away from Switzerland visiting Paris.

Carrie, my neighbor from Baltimore, Maryland 2001, now my neighbor in Europe (Paris and Switzerland) working as usual.

Ah, Paris from the Westin...

Beautiful, Peaceful, Relaxing.

It's always great to have friends visiting and sharing the wonderful experience of Paris...which of course the Westin makes even better!

A Walk to the Library.

Paris has a "quiet" kind of beauty. These photos were taken on a walk to the American Library of Paris (yes, a long walk from here, but I could use the exercise)...as always, I have my camera to take pictures along the way....

Who takes photos on the way to the library to return books on a Saturday afternoon? Sometimes I think I really need to "Get a life", but for now...this is my life.

While sitting in the grass along the shore of the Seine, enjoying a summer picnic with a friend, "Excellence" slowly cruises by.

Slow, smooth, not in a hurry, seeming to enjoy the journey...

Taking its time, going with the flow of the river. Excellence, calm and peaceful is not rushed.

Something About the 17th.

There's "something" about the 17th arrondissement that I kinda like. It feels a little "ordinary" but still very French. Here are a few more "after school photos".

"Just Live"-A Park in Paris.

There's so much beauty in Paris. Some people "get it" and some just don't. Beauty surrounds everyone, no matter where they are, it's just a matter of what we "choose" to see.

These photos were taken one day walking home from French lessons in the 18th arrondissemont. Taking a different way home, always leads to new discoveries in Paris.

"In any other city, this would be THE attraction to see!" my friend says with excitement and awe as we stumble upon this beautiful church in a quiet corner of the city. No tourist crowds or souvenir stands. Just an old church in a quiet neighborhood.
