Bonne Vacances - Happy Vacation!

It's August, and the Parisians seem to really take this vacation month serious. It's almost as if it's mandatory to take at least 3 weeks vacation in the month of August.
My French friends asks, "When are you leaving for vacation?", "Where are you going for your vacation?", "How many weeks will you be on vacation?"
"I'm not." I reply.
They look as if I just said, "I don't have any shoes." or some equally strange reply.
There are reminders everywhere that August is vacation month in Paris.

This metro Vacation Ad reminds me of home. The metro's are now packed with people and luggage!
