Walking through the Maris on the way to Erica's Birthday dinner, made me understand more and more why people fall in love with the city. The Marais is lively in the afternoon, but becomes even more vibrant in the evening. I couldn't help taking photos of Parisians buying produce at night, meats and even flowers. Even the smelly cheese place looks beautiful and appetizing at night.
I'll just cut and paste the p.s. section from Adrian's 30 Sept newsletter: http://www.parlerparis.com/ (is that legal?) to share the birthday news.
P.P.S. Happy 24th Birthday (October 1st) and congratulations to my daughter, Erica, whose "Photographic Project-Journey through Volunteering in Cambodian Orphanages" already has 33 backers having raised $2,223 out of a goal of $4,111 with only 77 days to go -- thanks to many of you! For more information or TO become a backer and receive a limited edition 8"x10" quality C print, signed by Erica Simone, visit http://www.kickstarter.com/
It was indeed a wonderful evening.
