Jogging Past Elie Saab at the Tuileries.

Yesterday I learned the French word for roof tiles is tuiles, sounds like (twill), which is where the word for the gardens outside the Louvre got the name, Jardin des Tuileries. I have always pronounced it something like "The Tool-er-ries". The correct pronunciation is more like, "The Twill-er-ries". Which was once where the roof tile factories were. (Now of course long gone).

This morning, I woke up needing a good 'run' and since today is the last day of Paris Fashion Week, I also wanted to take one last look at the fashion crowd for today's shows. So I decide to 'kill two birds with one stone', and take my morning jog through the Tuileries past the Elie Saab Fashion show crowd.

I usually have the hardest time trying to figure out which shoes to wear with what, So I reminded myself... "Look at their shoes!" as I snapped a few photos of the well dressed women and a few models leaving the tent after the show.

I snapped a few more photos as I began the 55 minute jog back to my apartment, through the Tuileries, down the Champs Elysees, right at the Arc De Triomphe, and a final 20 minute run through the side neighborhoods leading to the surburbs.

Fitness and fashion...a great way to begin the day. Shower, eat, then head off to the Wednesday French-English Conversation Group...never a dull moment in Paris.
